Numerigraphie

Numerigraphie is the new high-end printing standard in the world of Art.

The term numerigraphie or digigraphy refers to fine art printing using an inkjet process.

Three main stages:

  1. First comes digitisation — the image of the original work is scanned.

  2. Next is colour calibration — the chromatic adjustments to the digital file are carried out under the artist’s supervision.

  3. Finally, printing — a highly precise technical process in which nozzles, finer than a human hair, spray millions of microscopic ink droplets per second onto the medium (paper or canvas).

Prints are produced on 250 gsm Fine Art paper, designed for inkjet printing, with a lightly textured (fine grain) surface. The coating of this medium is resistant to water and abrasion. The definition is so precise that no dot pattern is visible, even under magnification. The density and range of colours are exceptionally wide. Thanks to new ink formulations used for these giclées, durability and colour stability have been greatly enhanced compared with earlier techniques.

Numerigraphie truly represents the new high-end printing standard in the world of Art.
